THE 2012 PRESTONFIELD PRO-AM IS ON THE 29th June.
“Prestonfield Golf Club are delighted to be hosting the Pro Am for the Sixth consecutive year on Friday 29th June 2012 and this year we are supporting 2 very worthwhile charities – St Columba’s Hospice, and the Neurology Department (Western General Hospital).
As in previous years, we would welcome anyone interested in entering a team, becoming a sponsor or donating raffle prizes to contact any of the Pro Am Committee – Gavin Cook, Suzanne Ireland or Alan Dickson. We are already receiving entry forms from competitors who have enjoyed the event in previous years and are looking forward to another successful day.
The Pro Am is run by the PGA and we have been fortunate over the years to have some excellent Professionals playing on the day – they are competing for a prize fund and very much look forward to playing at Prestonfield, which is one of the few Pro Am events left in the Edinburgh and Lothians area.
The Pro Am is a great chance to play 18 holes with a Professional, is a fun event (in that only one score from the 3 amateurs and Professional count!), and after your game you can relax in the clubhouse and enjoy your inclusive meal
The 2011 event saw a fantastic new professionals course record of 63 by Jason Mcreadie. At long last the weather was kind to us and this combined with a great depth of professionals in the field and a golf course in superb condition greatly added to the amateur players enjoyment of the day
